Global Challenge to Prevent Breast Cancer
When we launched our third round of Program Initiatives, we set out to bring in bold, new ideas for breast cancer primary prevention. The Global Challenge to Prevent Breast Cancer was created to crowdsource innovative research concepts from across disciplines, sectors, and communities.
Ideas generated through the Global Challenge help inform our broader Program Initiatives process. Through this process, we convene external advisors to identify and prioritize the most promising concepts for future funding opportunities.
We launched the Global Challenge in 2018. From dozens of submissions across the globe, ten finalists were selected to present their ideas at the Global Challenge Idea Showcase and Competition in May 2019.
