Global Challenge Idea Showcase and Competition
The Global Challenge to Prevent Breast Cancer was designed to uncover transformative prevention research ideas. Finalists were selected from dozens of applications that were submitted to the Global Challenge and competed for two Grand Prizes and an Audience Choice Award at the Idea Showcase and Competition on May 15, 2020, in San Francisco, California. Each finalist had just five minutes to make the case that their idea could revolutionize breast cancer prevention. Renowned surgeon, breast cancer prevention advocate, and author Dr. Susan Love delivered the event’s keynote address on “The Amazing Breast”. In addition to the two Grand Prize winners chosen by a judging committee of renowned experts and advocates, those in attendance and watching online also had their say, voting on an Audience Choice Award.
